How to Add a Shopify Gift Message in Checkout Follow this simple two-step process:
PART ONE
Log in and go to the Admin page. Click Online Store. Select Customize Theme. Now you'll see the Theme Editor file list. Find and click Cart Page. This will take you to Shopify cart settings. Click "Allow customers to add a note to their order". Hit Save Changes. Next, click the default text "Add a note for the seller" so you can edit it. Change the text to "Add a gift message".
PART TWO
From the Admin page, click "Online Store". Click Themes. Click Edit HTML/CSS. Under the Templates list, click "cart.liquid." Search the file for "Add a note for the seller". Replace the text with "Add a gift message". Click Save.
You just activated Shopify gift messages. Easy, right?
